Tips to help you start out with your new Lingua Bud:

Follow the conversation below and say each word slowly if necessary.

Ask your Lingua Bud to repeat a phrase if you did not understand.

Ask your Lingua Bud if you can record your conversation and listen to it later.

Set up a schedule to practice as much as possible. We suggest 10 minutes a day to begin. 5 minutes in English and 5 minutes in Spanish.

Don't worry about making mistakes or having a strong accent. Everyone has to start somewhere!

Encourage your partner to keep going and give constructive feedback. Support each other.
First Conversation in English/Spanish (Primera Conversación en Inglés/Español)
Use this conversation as a guide with your Lingua Bud:

Hola. ¿Cómo estás? - 'Hello. How are you?'

Estoy bien, ¿y tú? - 'I'm good, and you?'

Excelente. ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas estudiando inglés? - 'Excellent. How long have you been studying English for?'

Llevo dos años estudiando inglés. - 'I have been studying English for two years.'

¿Cuánto tiempo llevas estudiando español? - 'How long have you been studying Spanish for?'

Llevo tres años estudiando español. - 'I have been studying Spanish for three years.'

Muy bien. ¿Has viajado a un país que habla español? - 'Very good. Have you ever traveled to a Spanish-speaking country?'

Sí. He visitado Guatemala y Puerto Rico. - 'Yes. I have visited Guatemala and Puerto Rico.'
