Tips to help you start out with your new Lingua Bud:

Follow the conversation below and say each word slowly if necessary.

Ask your Lingua Bud to repeat a phrase if you did not understand.

Ask your Lingua Bud if you can record your conversation and listen to it later.

Set up a schedule to practice as much as possible. We suggest 10 minutes a day to begin. 5 minutes in English and 5 minutes in Russian.

Don't worry about making mistakes or having a strong accent. Everyone has to start somewhere!

Encourage your partner to keep going and give constructive feedback. Support each other.
First Conversation in English/Russian (Первый Pазговор на Aнглийском/Pусском)
Use this conversation as a guide with your Lingua Bud:

Привет. Как вы? - 'Hello. How are you?'

Я хорошо а ты? - 'I'm good, and you?'

Отличный. Как давно вы изучаете английский язык? - 'Excellent. How long have you been studying English for?'

Я изучаю английский два года. - 'I have been studying English for two years.'

Как давно вы изучаете русский язык? - 'How long have you been studying Russian for?'

Я только начал неделю назад. - 'I just started a week ago.'

Очень хороший. Вы когда-нибудь путешествовали по России? - 'Very good. Have you ever traveled to Russia?'

Да. Я приехал в Россию три года назад. - 'Yes. I went to Russia three years ago.'

Вы были в англоязычной стране? - 'Have you visited an English-speaking country?'

Извини не поняла. Не могли бы вы повторить это немного медленнее, пожалуйста? - 'I'm sorry, I did not understand. Can you repeat that a little slower, please?'
