Key Points

• We are a platform to help people learn languages from around the world and to build a community of language learners. We are dedicated to encouraging people from around the world to help each other learn languages together.
• We reserve the right to remove content and remove accounts. If a user is found to not comply by our guidelines, we will remove their account. Since we do not monitor messages and calls, we will do so if a user is reported by another user.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, including spam, bullying, nudity, and obscenity. If you encounter any form of abuse, we encourage you to report that user via our report a problem button, and we will further investigate the issue.
• We are not responsible for the content of your calls and messages. We expect our users to abide by our guidelines and if they are found to be breaking these guidelines, they will be removed.
• Lingua Bud is not a dating application. We encourage users to learn languages via our platform and make friends along the way, however, do not condone users using the application for dating.
• Lingua Bud takes 10% of each class and course that is sold. Instructors can set their own rates for both live sessions and courses and take home 90% of each service offered.

Lingua Bud General Guidelines

Here at Lingua Bud, we don’t support any behavior that is: racist, discriminatory, sexist, ageist, homophobic, transphobic, or offensive in any way, shape, or form. We encourage a supportive environment and expect the same of our users. Any user that violates these guidelines will be removed from the app immediately, without question, and will not be allowed to rejoin.

Under no circumstances shall Lingua Bud be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of data or profit, arising out of the use, or the inability to use, the materials on this site, even if Lingua Bud or an authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. If your use of materials from this site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume any costs thereof.

By using any of the Services, or submitting or collecting any Personal Information via the Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, storage disclosure, and use of your Personal Information in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to the use of your Personal Information in these ways, please stop using the Services.

User Account Eligibility and Security

To be eligible to use Lingua Bud, you must meet the following criteria and represent and warrant that you:

• are 18 years of age or older.
• agree that by providing us your email address, you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law.
• agree not to advertise any other business or products you sell commercially while using Lingua Bud.
• are not currently restricted from Lingua Bud. If a user has already been removed from Lingua Bud, they are not permitted to rejoin.
• will only maintain one account at a time. Users cannot make multiple accounts.
• will not falsify any information on your profile page. Users must use their real name and identity, unless they are given permission by the other person they are making an account for.
• will not violate any rights, including intellectual property rights such as copyright or trademark rights.
• agree that if you connect to Lingua Bud via another social media network platform (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google, etc), you give us full permission to access and use your information from these social networks as permitted by them.
• agree that you are responsible for anything that happens through your account until you close down your account or prove that your account security was compromised due to no fault of your own.
• cannot join if you are a convicted sex offender.

Any member who ignores these guidelines will have their account terminated.

Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lingua Bud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, or damage caused by any content exchanged on the platform.

Lingua Bud is a technology platform that connects students and instructors. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, accuracy, or legality of lesson content provided by instructors, or for the conduct of any user during or outside of a lesson session. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Lingua Bud in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
