At Lingua Bud, we understand that schedules change. This policy outlines how cancellations and refunds are handled for live language lessons booked through our platform. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Please read this policy carefully before booking a lesson.
By completing a booking on Lingua Bud, you agree to the terms of this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
The refund you receive depends on how far in advance you cancel before the scheduled lesson start time:
To cancel a booking, please log in to your account and navigate to your activity/bookings page, or contact us at support@linguabud.com with your booking details.
If an instructor cancels a confirmed lesson for any reason, the student will receive a full refund of the lesson amount, regardless of when the cancellation occurs. Instructors who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may have their accounts reviewed or removed from the platform.
If an instructor fails to appear for a scheduled lesson without prior cancellation, the student is entitled to a full refund. Please contact us at support@linguabud.com within 48 hours of the missed lesson to report the no-show and initiate your refund.
If a lesson cannot be completed due to a verifiable technical failure on Lingua Bud's platform (such as a video call system outage), we will review the situation and offer one of the following at our discretion:
Technical issues caused by the student's own internet connection, device, or browser are not eligible for a refund. We recommend testing your connection before each session. If you experience technical difficulties during a lesson, contact us at support@linguabud.com with a description of the issue and any supporting screenshots or details.
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment provider. Refunds typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Lingua Bud does not charge any additional fees to process a refund.
Note: Lingua Bud retains a 10% platform fee on each transaction. For partial refunds (such as the 50% cancellation refund), the platform fee is also proportionally refunded.
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied, please contact us at support@linguabud.com within 14 days of the lesson date. Include your booking ID, the date and time of the lesson, and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank before contacting Lingua Bud support may result in the suspension of your account while the dispute is reviewed.
Lingua Bud reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date below. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
