English tutoring: common questions
How much does an online English tutor cost?
Each instructor sets their own rate. English instructors on Lingua Bud currently charge between 5 and 35 per hour, priced in US dollars or euros. The rate is shown on every profile before you book.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. You can book a free 15-minute trial from an instructor's profile to see whether their teaching style suits you. You need a free Lingua Bud account to book it.
How do the lessons take place?
Lessons are 1-on-1 video calls that run in your web browser on Lingua Bud, so there is nothing extra to install.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
You can cancel from your bookings page. How much is refunded depends on how far ahead you cancel; the details are in our refund and cancellation policy.
